GAM Investment Academy

At GAM Investments we believe our job is to not only help clients achieve their investment goals, but to have a better understanding of the investment environment. As we attempt to meet these aims, we are constantly challenging ourselves to dig deeper and seek new ideas to make a difference and consider how best to communicate them. In short, we embrace our natural curiosity to ensure we never stop learning and strive to pass this knowledge on. Our ambition is to educate as well as inform and therefore we have partnered with academic institutions in Spain and Italy to enhance our educational offering by providing access to some of the brightest minds both inside and outside of the investment world via one easily accessible website.

GAM Investment Insights

At GAM we have always sought out first-rate investment talent to manage our range of truly distinctive investments. This pillar showcases their ideas and research on the latest investment themes and innovations, macro and geopolitical activity, as well as broader industry trends.

It also offers more practical input on asset allocation strategies and updates on new and alternative investment approaches with a view to keeping our clients abreast of the latest investment thinking.

Academic partnerships1

GAM has a long history of cultivating relationships with academic institutions – be it the University of Venice where we have a long-running educational programme on behavioural finance or the Spanish Stock Exchange where we support their professional academic training such as the MFIA certification or our Cambridge-based investment business.

GAM Investment Academy provides a platform for our clients to access some of these academic institutions and leverages their educational content and programmes to facilitate further professional development.

Social educational initiatives

We believe that the investment industry has a responsibility to support educational programmes beyond our day to day business relationships. In our view, aiming to improve investment and financial literacy worldwide is an important endeavour and, in this light, the GAM Investment Academy has sponsored several initiatives to further this worthy cause.

Spanish Academy

GAM has proudly worked with and supported the Instituto BME (Bolsas y Mercados Espanoles) for several years. Since 1990, it has been responsible for the financial education of the Spanish market and one of its key activities is the organisation of training across financial markets. Our collaboration focuses on the MFIA Certification, an exam recognised by MIFID II which provides excellent professional training. As part of our programme of educational initiatives, we also work with other important institutions such as El Economista, Interconomia and Capital Radio.

GAM Investment Academy

Italian Academy

For many years, GAM Italia has provided financial consultants with services and literature designed to support their activity with end clients. This has included weekly articles and educational training, underpinned by our long held partnership with the University of Venice on Behavioural Finance.

Social educational initiatives

The Maria Jesus Soto Foundation

The Maria Jesus Soto Foundation was created with the objective of providing continuity and furthering the work Maria Jesus Soto has been developing for 25 years in the field of economic and financial education. GAM aims to supplement this work through entrepreneurship and our vast knowledge of the private and public sectors, thus completing the three pillars of our educational structure.
