The inflationary backdrop has widened the gap between the top tier of luxury brands, which are increasingly being seen as a store of value, relative to the rest. Brands and consumers alike continue to push forward the sustainability agenda to mutual benefit. While travel has been a particular beneficiary of the ongoing recovery in the luxury sector, we await the return of the Chinese traveller, likely towards the end of 2023, to provide a further boost to the sector’s fortunes.
